OUR WOMEN NOW will be the signature Jazzoperetry ensemble, featuring a jazz quintet, string quartet, an Afro-Brazilian percussionist, two spoken-word poets, five female vocalists trained in classical/operatic, musical theater and jazz music.  This ensemble is to debut in the 2016-17 season, and will be the vehicle of the innovative synthesis of jazz, opera and spoken-word poetry into one cohesive, multi-faceted performance art, as conceived by singer, writer and composer/arranger Earl Hazell.
